Hayley updates Randy on what’s happened with Bill. As the Duprees present a united front, Hayley is the odd woman out. Leslie approaches, offering to stand in the pariah’s corner, saying she knows what it’s like to be on the outside with the powerful family. After the doctor says that Bill had a cardiac arrest, not a heart attack, and is on the (long) road to recovery, Hayley tries getting the Duprees to leave. Dani refuses, with Hayley shouting that they’d probably all be happy to see Bill die if it meant getting her out of their lives. Dani loses it, and only Nicole’s arrival prevents a major beatdown.
Ashley announces that Bill’s awake… and asking to see Dani! She enters and sits by Bill’s bedside, taking his hand in hers. He apologizes, adding that he should have said “sorry” more often. It’s a lovely moment between them… which is, of course, when Hayley barges in at Leslie’s urging. Bill tells his wife he doesn’t remember much about what happened.
In Other News…
Kial goes to the hospital with Nicole. Anita says she approves of Nicole’s choice, adding she’d be thrilled with anyone who put a smile on her daughter’s face. Joey walks in on the tail-end of Randy’s angry phone conversation with Hayley. Questioned by his boss, Randy comes up with a story to cover the real reason he’s upset. Misunderstanding a conversation with Chelsea, Andre rushes to the hospital thinking she’s been admitted. Hearing the rumors about Hayley and Randy, Vernon calls Joey wanting answers. Joey admits he’s aware of the “friendship” but it doesn’t involve him. Later, as everyone heads home, Andre comforts Dani as her parents worry that she’s falling back into her old ways with Bill!
Next on Beyond the Gates, Kat is about to make a move that will put her on Hayley’s radar… and not in a good way!
