It’s only been a few weeks since Serena blew back into Port Charles, and though she and her mom Lucy are as close as thieves, one major part of the equation is missing on General Hospital… Scotty. Sure, Serena informed everyone that her dad is living his best life in Florida, but longtime fans want him back in the mix — and the events these days haven’t gone unnoticed by the actor.
Kin Shriner took to his official X account to share a photo of his character holding his wife Dominique Stanton Baldwin as she died in May of 1993. For those who don’t remember, Lucy carried Dominique and Scotty’s daughter to term for the couple, as the latter wanted to give her husband a child.
“This was one of my favorite storylines, General Hospital, which has now spawned a whole big story for show!” Shriner stated, then went on to remember, “The real story was just as dramatic!”
And indeed, it was… After Serena, named after the Stanton family estate, Serenity Mansion, was born, so many things unfolded in the young girl’s life. Everything from fleeing Port Charles with Scotty to hiding in Canada from the mob, to being kidnapped by her own uncle Rex and Dominique’s half-sister Danielle, to eventually being reunited with her father and now mom Lucy. The entire story was, as Shriner stated, “just as dramatic” as what is currently unfolding before viewers.
