Having watched Ashley Jones play one Ms. Nice Guy (Bold & Beautiful doc Bridget) after another (Young & Restless’ Megan), we were completely unprepared for just how wonderfully wicked she would be as Beyond the Gates vamp Heather. And it turns out she couldn’t have imagined how good it would feel to play a baddie. “The most-asked question I get is, ‘Are you playing Bridget?” she admits with a laugh. “Not even close!”
A Role She Can Sink Her Teeth Into
To say that Jones is killing it in the role of the former Impaler would be the understatement of the year. In fact, her performance has left us wanting one thing and one thing only: a whole lot more. Fortunately, she says that our wish is going to be fulfilled. At one point during our chat about the challenges she’s encountered while filming, the beauty gives a devilish smile before replying, “If you come back to me in a year, I’ll tell you exactly what I’m thinking! And it’s good!”
Like us, she’s eager to discover more about Heather. “I really enjoy this character. Like, deeply enjoy getting to play something that I’ve never played before!”
Something Wicked Our Way Comes
Heather’s real reasons for returning to the DMV are currently shrouded in mystery. But you can bet that there’s more happening than meets the eye. Even her own brother is suspicious. Joey can’t help but wonder whether she’s planning to move onto his turf to metaphorically bleed him dry… and it sounds as though he’s right to be cautious!
“You will not believe what’s coming!” she says excitedly. “I can’t reveal much, but whatever you think you’ve already seen is barely scratching the surface!”
We tried to get Jones to reveal exactly what her scheming counterpart is up to, but alas, our efforts were in vein. Er, vain. All she would disclose is that the months ahead will “there’s all sorts of stuff that you’re going to uncover about the relationship between Heather and Joey, Heather and Vanessa, and Heather with… ” here she pauses before slyly adding, “other people on the show!”
