Steffy Encounters a Shocking Sight In Monaco — and Taylor Turns Deacon Down

At the chapel in Monaco, Sheila watches Finn and Steffy kiss. Steffy pauses to make a speech about what her husband means to her. Finn enthusiastically says that this is a recommitment to each other. They kiss some more.

In their hotel suite, Brooke and Ridge hope Finn will reach Steffy before the bells ring. They remember the dark period the couple endured and gush about miracles. Ridge teases that Finn isn’t the only one who can find romance in Monaco.

Back at the chapel, the speeches continue, passing the time until the moment the bells will ring out. Finally, they do. Steffy and Finn look up and smile. Sheila does too.

Sheila’s driver appears and asks whether she’s ready to return to the airport. She says her flight has been delayed and suggests that he take her to a café instead. After one final look at Steffy and Finn, she follows him.

Ridge and Brooke are kissing in their suite when there’s a knock at the door. It’s Simone, who delivers the news that her dad, Louis, isn’t coming to meet with them.

Meanwhile, Sheila settles onto a beach lounger and calls the waiter over. He’s dismayed to hear that she’s been told she has to return to Los Angeles and is waiting for a flight. Sheila places her order and muses that the scenery is magnifique.

Nearby, Finn tells Steffy that he lost his appetite on the flight, but doesn’t explain further. They notice the café on the beach, which looks tempting. She talks about having work to do, but also wants to concentrate on Finn.

On the shore, Sheila walks into the surf with all eight of her toes sinking into the sand. Sitting down again, she flirts with the waiter and sips her drink, moaning in approval. Taking out her phone, Sheila snaps a couple of selfies.

At that exact moment, Steffy and Finn make their way down the beach. He complains about the flight but still isn’t forthcoming about Sheila… who is right behind them as they stop to share a kiss.

I Don’t

At the cliff house, Taylor’s response to Deacon’s proposal is, “Are you serious right now?!” Probably not what he hoped to hear, but he continues his pitch, “Please tell me that you feel the same way.” Taylor takes the wind out of Deacon’s sails by replying, “Marriage? I just don’t think we need to do this.”

Deacon can’t understand why she’s turning him down. Taylor doesn’t think they need to get married. Why take the chance of messing it up? Deacon is clearly deflated. He divorced Sheila for them… for their future. “Did I make a mistake?”

The Final Scenes

In Brooke and Ridge’s suite, they’re dismayed to learn from Simone that Louis answers to the board of directors and they’ve lost a client. Ridge asks, “What changed?” Simone replies, “Logan.” Of course.

At the cliff house, Taylor explains that the divorce was to make sure she wasn’t dating a married man. She hates disappointing him, but the way he loves her, fully and completely, is all she needs. Deacon supposes they don’t need to be married as long as they’re together. They embrace, but he’s clearly upset.

Back on the beach in Monaco, Steffy and Finn move ever closer to Sheila’s lounger. A fan calls out to Steffy, and while she’s busy taking a selfie, Finn spots Sheila. Sheila sees them at the same time and ducks beneath a towel, but her toes are sticking out.

Finn and Steffy continue walking along the sand, with him frantically trying to convince her to go into the restaurant. Alas, Steffy notices Sheila’s infamous toes and stomps over to pull off the towel. “Oh my God! You’re here!” Finn goes into fight or flight, and Sheila looks sheepish.
