Picking up where yesterday’s episode left off, Bill assumes Andre came to his hospital room out of jealousy. After all, Bill asked to see Dani and she, in his words, “came running.” Bill says no matter how hard Andre tries, he can’t get Dani to stop thinking about her ex. “Yes, Dani has memories of you, because you and your relationship are in her past, which is where you need to let it stay!” insists Andre. He takes Bill to task for taking pride in the fact that Dani, a woman he hurt badly, may still have feelings for him. As they trade barbs, Bill’s heart rate spikes, sending Ashley rushing in to interrupt. Ash lectures Andre, who then receives a text from the mystery person — Heather, is that you? — saying “soon.”
Following a gossip session with Vanessa and Heather that involves dissing Bill, Dani later remembers not only the highlights of her romance with Andre, but also her conflicted feelings about Bill and the hold he has over her. Heading to the hospital, she learns about the confrontation between the men in her life and barges into Bill’s room, swearing “on everything I hold dear” that she’ll see him into a grave if he reveals what happened between them. Hayley arrives, prompting Dani to leave (after dissing her rival’s fruit basket). Alone with Bill, Hayley asks if she and Andre should be worried about the clearly unsevered bond between Dani and Bill!
Andre Can’t Escape His Past!
Andre arrives at Uptown and receives messages from the mystery person suggesting that they are at the bar, too! He gets a call from Dani, with each of them keeping quiet about where they are and promising to shower one another with love once they’re back home. As Andre hangs up, someone is watching him from across the room…
In Other News…
Vanessa hits the casino after her get-together with Heather. Joey isn’t thrilled that Vanessa is bonding with his sister, convinced that she is up to something. He knows she wants to merge their business. “The question is, how far is she willing to go to make” that happen, he ponders.
Kat arrives at Smitty and Martin’s place to discover that the party for Tyrell was something of a bust. Smitty gets a text inviting him to appear on a new true-crime podcast to discuss the Impaler. But Shonda arrives to absolutely forbid Smitty or Martin from doing it in case Smitty says the wrong thing and damages Martin’s re-election chances. Even after Martin gives his blessing, Smitty decides to decline the offer.
Next on Beyond the Gates, it looks as if we might finally get more information about the person from Andre’s past who seems determined to become part of his present! (Is it, as we suspect, Heather?)
